MORENO VALLEY>> Spring is not complete without an egg hunt, and residents and visitors of Moreno Valley are in luck as the City of Moreno Valley will hold its annual Springtastic Festival and Egg Hunt at Sunnymead Park on Saturday, April 8. This year’s festivities will kick off at 9 a.m. with a free egg hunt for children between the ages of 2 and 10 years old. Children will be assigned to different fields according to age, and there will be accommodations for children with special needs. Breakfast will be served for a $5 fee immediately following the egg hunt until noon. At noon, performances and spring-themed activities will take place including game booth activties, coloring activity station, inflatables and a visit from Peter Rabbit. "The Parks & Community Services Department’s purpose is to have our residents be involved in our community events and activities, most importantly to have fun in a safe environment while making long-lasting friendships," said Janet Palacio, Senior Recreation Program Leader for the City of Moreno Valley Parks & Community Services. Springtastic will be held at Sunnymead Park, located at 12655 Perris Boulevard in Moreno Valley. The Egg Hunt and breakfast, previously known as the Bunny Brunch, has been around for 15 years. Palacio said this will be the first year the two events will be combined and hosted at one location. "The Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 9 a.m., so arrive early and don’t forget to bring your own basket to collect the eggs," Palacio said.
