MORENO VALLEY >> Both California Baptist University swim/dive teams were honored for their team accomplishments in the classroom by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Lancers were recognized individually with the release of the CSCAA Scholar All-Americans. Both teams set program single-season records for CSCAA Scholar All-Americans, with the women producing nine and the men seven. Thirteen of the 16 individuals were first-team honorees, as well. The CBU men and women both earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors with respective team grade point averages of 3.14 and 3.37. For the Lancers to be selected for the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable mention selections similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective qualifying meets. Eight Lancers earned first-team honors on the women's side, with Courtney Chacon, Christie Halverson, Yosita Hapsari, Tessa Olson, Alena Rumiantceva, Bre Schlenger, Kristina Tchernyschev and Sara Yoshii. Melody Coleman earned honorable mention for CBU. On the men's side, Josh Hanson, Alexis Ohmar, Kendall Rummell, Tanner Shore and Bernardo Gonzalez Valentim gave the Lancer men five first-teamers. Andrew Rotundo and Chris Sands were each honorable mentions.
