4th of July Parade and Funfest

Freedom, liberty, and independence. These three words represent a trifecta of the American spirit that I hold near and dear to my heart.

I’m proud to be an American, and I’m proud to call Moreno Valley my home. And this year, just like all the years past, I look forward to seeing our city come alive during the Fourth of July.

Independence Day events here in the City keep getting bigger and better, and this year promises to be an exciting celebration like no other, with family-friendly events throughout the entire day.

For starters, who doesn’t like a parade? Kick things off by attending our signature Fourth of July parade at 9:30 a.m. Running northbound on Frederick Street, the parade will feature your favorite community members, as well as several local businesses and Moreno Valley-based organizations.

Later, I invite you to join us at the Annual Fourth of July FunFest, from 3 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., at the Civic Center Amphitheater. Our FunFest will feature delicious food from local vendors, exciting live music and entertainment, a beer garden, a kids’ Fun Zone and much more.

And, as always, there’s the City’s fireworks display, which I firmly believe is THE BEST show in the Inland Empire.

This year’s theme is, “America the Beautiful.” And what could be more beautiful than a day filled with food, fun, family and friends? But don’t just take my word for it. Grab a lawn chair, bring the family, and come find out for yourself…And celebrate Independence Day the MoVal way!

The parade is free, and the FunFest is only $4 per person on the day of the event. For pre-sale and group discounts, visit moval.org/fourth.

I’ll see you there!
