Moss Bros. named "Business of the Year"

Moss Bros. Auto Group’s legacy dates all the way back to 1921 when “Red” Moss, Sr. opened his very first dealership in Blythe, Calif. With that, a legacy of great success blossomed within the Moss family. Moss, Sr. broke ground in Riverside in 1938 as he opened a Dodge dealership. It wasn’t long after when his son “Ade” Moss, Jr. joined the family business as they opened “The Riverside Auto Center” in 1965, making this the nation’s first auto center. Ade’s sons Glenn Moss, Sr. and Jay Moss, III expanded the company after their father proudly passed the business on to them as he retired, in 1987 with Moss Bros. Dodge in San Bernardino. However, an unexpected tragedy occurred in the family as Jay passed away in 2004 in which his instrumental contribution to the family legacy will never be forgotten. In January of 2006, Moss Bros Auto Group moved to Moreno Valley, setting up shop in the Moreno Valley Auto Mall with the addition of Moss Bros. Toyota, Moss Bros. Honda, and Moss Bros. Chrysler Jeep Dodge. The very first European manufacturer, Volkswagen, then joined the Moss Bros. team, not long after, in 2011. To this day, the Moss Bros. operates all of their stores with the same standards that they have learned throughout all four generations. As is states on their website, “the business is run according to the same principles of value, fairness, and teamwork that Red Moss, Sr. began with in 1921.” From then, 1921, to now, 2015, the Moss Bros. Auto Group is still making history with their nonstop success as they were recently awarded by the Loma Linda Chamber of Commerce. At the LL Chamber of Commerce Installation and Awards Banquet on Thursday, Jan. 29, the Moss Bros. Auto Group of Moreno Valley were named “Business of the Year”. “Moss Bros. Auto Group is honored to have been chosen "Business of the Year" with a 93 year history of servicing people in the Inland Empire. We are always striving to meet and exceed our customers' expectations,” Fleet Director Greg Donahue said. “With that, we believe, comes a responsibility to be good community partners and we work tirelessly in that endeavor.” Through the generations, passed on from Red Moss, Sr. to Ade Moss, Jr., and then to Jay Moss, III and Glenn Moss, Sr., they have made an extremely successful business while being known for their great customer service throughout the community, for over 90 years. Hence their motto, “At Moss… You’re the Boss!”
