Health, Wellness and Beauty Expo in Riverside, A Success

RIVERSIDE >> The CARE Project, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit in Riverside will be hosting a Health, Wellness and Beauty Expo in Riverside on April 17 at D & D's Dance Center, 1445 Spruce Street. Admission is $10. “Come join The CARE Project, Inc. as we celebrate life and promote health, wellness and beauty!” said Carrie Madrid, The CARE Project, Inc., founder. “This fundraising event aims to introduce healthy lifestyle choices that include juices, smoothies, snacks and fun forms of exercise.” Admission to this event includes the following: • ZUMBA and DANCE - Physical activity is not just good for your body but also for your brain! Exercise can be fun! Our certified instructors will make sure you have a great time trying these activities. You can even Zumba in a chair! • Juice and Smoothie Tastings - Belly up to the Juice/Smoothie bar for your free samples! • Healthy Food Tastings - Come taste some healthy snacks and salads - pick up your free recipes, too. • DIY DEMOS of all natural personal products - Demonstrations of do it yourself personal hygiene products. • VENDORS - There will be at least 15 vendors on site promoting and selling health, wellness and beauty products. Beauty begins on the inside. Some of the types of vendors that will be in attendance are: Essential oils, Self defense products, beauty products, all natural pain relief and much more. • RAFFLE PRIZES - Each Vendor will be providing a raffle gift and The CARE Project will also be raffling off some prizes. One (1) raffle ticket included with the price of admission. Additional tickets may be purchased 3 for $5. Breast Cancer Survivors will be in attendance giving out crucial information, including the amazing guidebook, The Silver Lining by Hollye Jacobs, RN. MS. MSW, as seen on Good Morning America. English and Spanish versions are available. “Do you know someone recently diagnosed or undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Bring them out to mix and mingle with survivors who can encourage them?” said Madrid. She added,” A huge part of what The CARE Project does is mentor patients through their journey from diagnosis to remission and beyond.” Area Representative for the American Cancer Society will also in attendance. 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to The CARE Project, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit supporting male and female breast cancer patients undergoing and recovering from treatment.
