Upcoming: Community Oriented Policing Zone Meeting

Moreno Valley Police Department officers are hosting a Community Oriented Policing Zone meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 1. The meeting will take place from 7-9 p.m. at Il Sorrento Mobile Home Park, located at 23820 Ironwood Ave. While all community members are invited to attend, the focus of discussion will be issues specific to Zone 1. The next 2014 zone meetings will be held on Oct. 22 at Renaissance Village located at 27900 Brodiaea in Zone 4 and Nov. 19 at Moreno Valley Ranch Community Center located at 16010 Rancho Del Lago in Zone 3. The principles and practices of community oriented policing, or zone policing, is used in all areas served by the Moreno Valley Police Department. The goal of zone policing is to advance the practice of community oriented policing by improving relationships between police officers and community members.
