California Trump supporters rallied together to show their support for Donald Trump (Presumptive Republican nominees for President) which was organized and presented by Don Nydam and his wife Ruth Ann with co-sponsors Randy Trau and Nancy Karr. Along with the Redlands Chapter of the Stump for Trump supporters being presented at the rally, members of the Redlands Tea Party, Tim Donnelly and Paul Chabot who are Republican congressional candidates also spoke at the event. Nydam’s introductory presentation showcased Trump, “as a very unique person and that he is a problem solver plus deal maker.” Nydam expressed to the supporters in attendance that he was happy to support a candidate such as Trump who supports Christianity; as was detailed in a biography written on Trump where he states, “My religious values were instilled in me by my mother. The first church I belonged to was the First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica, Queens. I went there every Sunday for Bible class. The church had a strong influence on me. Later I went to Reverend Norman Vincent Peale’s Marble Collegiate Church when I was in New York, and joined Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida. I think people are shocked when they find out that I am Christian, that I am a religious person. They see me with all the surroundings of wealth so they sometimes don’t associate that with being religious. That’s not accurate, I go to church, I love God, and I love having a relationship with Him. As I’ve said before; I think the Bible is the most important book ever written.” Both Nydam and Trau were impressed about Trump’s stance on creating more jobs and his passion on making things happen immediately. Other speakers during the evening covered such topics as the Affordable Care Act and insurance (Joe Henehan), National Security and Terrorism (Paul Chabot), Second Amendment rights (Tim Donnelly), and party unification (John Berry Tea Party cabinet member). Berry stated, “This election is about trying to save our country for our children, fighting Islamic terrorism, building a wall, appointing conservative Supreme Court justices, reversing a $19 trillion debt, and making America great again as Trump has been saying all along.” At the end of the rally, Nydam encourage all of the attendees to contact 10 people in the next few days to tell them why they are voting for Trump. Nydam concluded by saying, “There is a lot of reaction to Donald Trump, both good and bad, but he’ll tell you like it is and a lot of people don’t like that, but you’ve got to say the man is a dynamic leader.
