The recent math and science workshops at Bear Valley Elementary were a shining example of how schools, families and community partners can work together to make great things happen for students.
For several hours after school, students had the chance to browse a number of different stations where they could, among many other activities, look at the sun’s flares through a solar telescope, meet and touch reptiles that might otherwise seem a bit scary out in the wild.
Thanks to community partners such as UCR Graduate School of Biology, Moreno Valley College STEM, Riverside Astronomical Society, Altura Credit Union and others for making learning so engaging and fun.
