The City of Moreno Valley is already gearing up for the July 4th Family FunFest. The Independence Day celebration will kick-off with the City's traditional 4th of July Parade from 9:30 a.m. to noon, then launch into full celebration mode as the gates for the Family FunFest open at 1 p.m. The Family FunFest will take place at Morrison Park and Mountain View Middle School located at the northeast corner of Dracaea Avenue and Morrison Street. Gates open at 1 p.m. with the festival beginning at 2 p.m. Several entertainers will perform on the main stage this year. At 3 p.m., the excitement will begin with performances from Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, at 4 p.m. a performance by the "Band of Brothers" followed by "Ghost in the Machine - A Tribute to The Police and Sting," and then "Wanted - A Tribute to the Bon Jovi." The grand finale will be the long-time favorite in Moreno Valley with the fireworks extravaganza beginning at 9 p.m. The fireworks show will be simulcast with patriotic music by KOLA 99.9 FM. We would like to thank event sponsors Waste Management, KOLA 99.9 FM, the Moreno Valley Unified School District, and Visterra Credit Union who have already contributed to Moreno Valley's Independence Day celebration. More information on the July 4th Family FunFest will be readily available as the event gets closer. For sponsorship opportunities, please call (909) 413-3706.
