MORENO VALLEY>> Moreno Valley Utility (MVU) recently worked with Lakeside Terrace Shopping Center to retrofit the center's parking lot lighting to make it more energy efficient.
Replacing existing parking lot lighting with more energy efficient LED lamps is expected to save the center's owner more than $18,000 a year in energy and maintenance costs.
In addition to the cost savings, the new LED lamps will increase the uniformity and light levels in the parking lot.
MVU Public Purpose Program funds helped fund the improvements.
