Saturday, October 19, Taylor Martial Arts will host a Project Rudolph event. This event is being held in conjunction with the upcoming Artober Fest event to be held on October 26, and in cooperation with the Vanguard Community Arts Gallery. The goal of Project Rudolph is to provide gift bags, which include the hand-decorated ornaments and letters for deployed military troops. Those participating will decorate ornaments and write letters, which will be sent to the military overseas in Afghanistan, Iraq and other countries. Students at the dojo are excited to participate in the event, seeing it as a way to show support for the troops. The event is open to the public as well. In order to participate, you will need to call the dojo at 951-924-1955 to reserve your spot. The event begins at 11:45 a.m. Taylor Martial Arts is located at 24318 Hemlock Avenue, Suite G-4 in Moreno Valley. Last year the Vanguard Community Art Gallery participated in Project Rudolph, sending more than 150 ornaments to the troops. This year, with Project Rudolph being incorporated into Artober Fest as well as supported by Taylor Martial Arts, the number of ornaments completed and sent should be much greater than last year.
