March Mountain High School’s Manufacturing and Logistics Pathway students attended WESTEC at the Los Angeles Convention Center, where they were able to experience the latest advances in manufacturing technology.

The event was a showcase for new solutions in the manufacturing world. Students also attended a special student innovation session, specifically for high school students, where they were able to interact with presenters about robots, 3D printers, inspection tools, CAD, and more.

Students heard the message that the industry has a large need for a skilled workforce, something MVUSD is working hard to provide through the Manufacturing and Logistics Pathway.

Some students were even interviewed by the WESTEC film crew about what they had been learning in their courses. “We are enabling them to learn real-life skills and helping them connect it to the real world through trips like this,” said teacher Jeff Allbee.
