Palm & North Ridge “Mathemagicians” Make Short Work of Rubik’s Cube

MORENO VALLEY >> Ever try solving a Rubik’s Cube? It’s maddening and downright impossible for most of us. However, students from Palm Middle and one from North Ridge Magnet Elementary not only enjoy solving them, they actually competed against other schools recently to see who could do it the fastest. At a Rubik’s tournament held at CSU San Marcos, Palm seventh grader Enrique Perez led his team with a time of just 00:43:99. And Monica Moreno, a North Ridge fifth-grader, finished in the top five times for all elementary competitors. So, apparently, a Rubik’s Cube really can be solved! How? We still have no idea...
