MORENO VALLEY>> Just one day before MVUSD Superintendent Dr. Judy D. White took the oath of office as Riverside County’s next Superintendent of Schools, and a day before her right-hand man, Chief Academic Officer Dr. Martinrex Kedziora, took the helm as MVUSD’s new superintendent, the duo received news that they have been honored by the Association of California School Administrators as Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of the Year for ACSA Region XIX. “It’s a remarkable coincidence,” said School Board President Cleveland Johnson. “It is also further confirmation that both the Riverside County Office of Education Board of Trustees and our School Board made the right decisions when they chose Dr. White and we chose Dr. Kedziora as our leaders. Both organizations are now in good hands, and we couldn’t be more pleased to see Drs. White and Kedziora honored by ACSA.” White and Kedziora each have more than 30 years of education experience, serving at every level of responsibility at various school districts. In their six years together at Moreno Valley Unified, the district’s graduation rate has increased by 20.5 percent – by far the greatest increase for any school district in Riverside County – and closed the “achievement gap” in the process. As ACSA Region XIX award winners, White and Kedziora are eligible to be chosen for statewide honors later this year.
