MORENO VALLEY >> Eight valedictorians from Citrus Hill High School wore their caps and gowns as they visited Columbia Elementary School on Thursday, April 21. Pomp and Circumstance played while the eight soon-to-be graduates marched through the campus representing the culmination of an educational journey. Columbia students cheered as the Citrus students made their way to the multipurpose room for a Q & A session. The elementary students were given an opportunity to ask the graduates questions about high school, going to college, and what their favorite memories at Columbia were. Former teachers of the graduating students shared fond memories and expressed their pride in seeing the success of these students. “The Graduation Parade at our local elementary schools is a great opportunity for our graduating seniors to give back to their community. It is a wonderful way for the teachers at the elementary schools to see the results of their hard work and dedication to our students. The Q & A session and parade reinforced and vertically aligned our community’s goal to ensure that all students are college and career ready,” said Assistant Principal of Citrus Hill High School, Dr. Charil Macaraeg.
