MORENO VALLEY >> When temperatures reach triple digits, the City of Moreno Valley will provide two Cooling Centers to assist residents. The Cooling Centers will be available at the following locations and times:
Moreno Valley Library, 25480 Alessandro Blvd.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday: 12 - 5 p.m.
Moreno Valley Senior Center, 25075 Fir Avenue
Friday - Sunday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Center will only open if temperature reaches 100 degrees)
It is important to remember with the extreme heat to remain hydrated, limit vigorous activities, avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks, wear clothing that allows good air circulation, avoid direct sunlight, and check on family, neighbors, and friends who may be at risk. Never leave infants, children, or pets in a parked car, even if the windows are open.
