Marcus Lee-McDuffie, student at Rancho Verde High School in Moreno Valley, has been selected to represent University of California Riverside’s (UCR) Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) at the 2014 Student Leadership Forum in Sacramento, California.
This special event will be held Tuesday, May 13th and Wednesday, May 14th and is sponsored by the University of California Office of the President Academic Preparation Programs.
Lee-McDiffie is one of four students chosen from over 2,000 UCR EAOP candidates. Over 90 students throughout the state of California have been selected to participate in the forum at the state capitol.
The forum’s purpose is to provide leadership development in public policy and state government. Students will engage in mock legislative hearings, visit the legislators of California and express their opinions about outreach programs in their communities. As a future leader in society and because of his academic promise, Lee-McDiffie has been selected as a candidate for this experience.
