TownGate Elementary School and Edgemont Elementary School teamed up for "Count Me In", a family math night where students, parents, siblings and grandparents joined for an evening of fun with math.

It was the second year that TownGate and Edgemont worked together for the event. TownGate's multipurpose room was filled with math activities, including creating geometric shapes, dice games and bingo.

Families also had the chance to visit classrooms for more math-themed events.

"Many 21st-century careers will rely on strong math skills. The School Board is pleased to see the district holding fun, engaging events for our families to learn about math together," said Board Vice President Gary Baugh.

All MVUSD schools are holding math nights.
