Fisker Automotive to Host Job Fair at ArtoberFest

Fisker Automotive is gearing up to host a job fair at the Moreno Valley Arts Commission's 8th Annual ArtoberFest on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Conference & Recreation Center, on 14075 Frederick Street. Fisker, the event's main sponsor, will pay as much as $26 an hour for positions in the factory's body shop as well as some mechanical and quality-assurance positions. The luxury carmaker is specifically looking to hire welders, fabricators, painters, and production assemblers, amongst a number of other positions. Job applicants will participate in a pre-screening process, with qualified candidates being referred directly to Fisker. ArtoberFest is a free family-oriented cultural event featuring art exhibits from local artists, a car show, entertainment, food vendors, and performances ranging from youth dancers to talented adult musicians. At the event, will also be opportunities to adopt a pet, and participate in a canned-food drive. Project Rudolph, a program created to give deployed and deploying service members gift bags and cards over the holiday season, will return this year, giving participants the opportunity to design and create their own cards. Additionally, the Salvation Army will be in attendance to host a canned food drive. The Arts Commission will accept exhibitor applications until Friday, Oct. 2 for only $35. Registration for the car show is $20 prior to the event and $30 the day of the show. Register for the car show and submit exhibitor applications at the Conference & Recreation Center.
