The City of Moreno Valley and Waste Management will host a citywide Bulky Waste Clean-Up Event on Saturday, Mar. 19. The event will be held at Vista del Lago High School located at 15150 Lasselle Street from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. The event supports the Keep Moreno Valley Beautiful (KMVB) Great American Cleanup initiative by properly disposing of waste to ensure a cleaner, greener Moreno Valley. The bulky waste clean-up gives residents the opportunity to dispose of large items that are too big to fit into the regular trash cart. These items may include furniture, mattresses, old appliances, electronic waste or excess trash. Household hazardous waste such as latex or oil based paint, empty drums, motor oil, batteries or tires will not be accepted at the event. Residents will be required to show either a photo ID, utility bill or event postcard as proof of residency and should be prepared to unload waste materials themselves. Residents can also contact Waste Management at (800) 423-9986 to request a curbside bulky pick up at no charge. Please visit www.moval.org for a full list of acceptable and unacceptable items or contact the City's Recycling and Waste Program at 951.413.3109.
