Meet Benny!

Benny is a spirited and affectionate two-year-old German Shepherd mix who is ready to bring energy, companionship, and warmth into his future home. Known for his enthusiasm—especially when treats are involved—Benny can turn into an Olympic-level runner in seconds. He also enjoys the quieter moments, happily soaking up belly rubs, brushing sessions, and playtime with his favorite toys.

This smart and eager-to-learn pup already knows the command “sit” and is highly treat-motivated, making him a great candidate for continued training. Benny would thrive with an active adopter who can match his energy and include him in daily adventures, while also enjoying his affectionate, cuddle-loving nature.

Prospective adopters are encouraged to visit the shelter’s meet-and-greet areas to spend time with Benny and see if he’s the right fit for their home.

Adoptions are free for qualifying pets and include spaying or neutering, a microchip, and age-appropriate vaccinations. To help ease the transition into pet parenthood, MetLife Pet Insurance is offering 30 days of complimentary coverage.

To learn more about supporting the Devore Animal Shelter and Big Bear Animal Shelter—or to view details about adoption benefits—visit arffund.org.
