The Moreno Valley Parks & Community Services Department is currently accepting registrations for the upcoming Pee Wee and Junior Flag Football season. The program is open to girls and boys ages 3 - 9, and provides skills development in a non-competitive atmosphere for players at all levels. This league teaches youngsters the basic skills of flag football. Emphasis will be on skills development rather than competition. Parent participation is encouraged. The registration fee includes a jersey, participation award, and a banquet. Registration deadline is March 18. Early registration fee is $60 for residents and $78 for non-residents if paid by March 4. After March 4, the fee is $70 for residents and $91 for non-residents. A mandatory skills assessment for players between the ages of 7-9 will be held on March 19 at the Conference & Recreation Center located at 14075 Frederick Street. All games and practices will be held at the City’s newest football fields located at Lasselle Sports Park, 17155 Lasselle St. Interested in being a volunteer coach? The Parks & Community Services Department is always looking for enthusiastic individuals who have a keen interest in the development of Moreno Valley youth through recreation. To register for the Flag Football program or to become a volunteer coach, please visit the Conference & Recreation Center at 14075 Frederick Street, or call (951) 413-3280.
