Is it ever too early to start thinking about what you want to do for a living?
Not at Cloverdale Elementary, anyway, where for College and Career Day students were treated to visits from an author, a pastry chef, student-teachers and more.
They talked with students about the paths they took to their professions, and although their jobs are diverse, the general message is the same: There's really no mystery to finding your life's work; just follow your interests, get the right education, and be open to other interesting, unexpected possibilities along the way.
Here, kindergartners were asked by two student-teachers to tell what careers interest them. Based on their answers, this classroom alone has future lawyers, doctors, teachers, and maybe an astronaut or two. And it's all so completely possible.
