As a former teacher and a businesswoman I am proud to announce my candidacy for the Moreno Valley Unified School District. I respectfully ask for your support. I value the importance of a good education. Student success is my priority. I will fight for reforming our educational system so that every student from pre-school-adult will have quality skills to compete in the workforce nationally and internationally. My educational vision includes: • The consideration of a nutritional instruction program included in the curriculum for all students (pre-school to high school) which evaluates overall health conditions to improve lifelong eating habits. • Curriculums to meet the needs of all students in the district. • Programs to support student, parent, teachers and business community partnerships to create a better standard of education for all students. Currently I am a business owner as well as a business consultant and a certified tax preparer with Professional Resource and the Vice Chair on the Moreno Valley Senior Citizen Board. Also I am a former Compton Unified School District board member. Previous employment includes a Los Angeles USD teacher teaching math and science and Bank of America in management. Educational achievement includes an honorary Doctoral Degree, Religious Humanities, a Master in Governance from California School Board Association, a Master in Business Administration, a BS degree in Information Systems, and a BS degree in Public Administration. My career and educational background gives me understanding of budgets, problem solving and human resource in both the educational system as well as the business industry. Vote for Delorise Anderson on Nov. 4, 2014.
