Wells Fargo of Moreno Valley recently presented a $1,000 check to Rising Stars Business Academy (RSBA) on Wednesday, March 11, as well as a Certificate of Recognition from the California Legislature and California State Senate. On Dec. 10, Wells Fargo held their annual Inland Empire Community Connections Breakfast where 55 Wells Fargo community bank leaders each selected an organization to donate $1,000 to within each community. Rising Stars Business Academy was one of the fortunate organizations that was chosen for it’s continued effort to improve the community. Rising Stars Business Academy, founded in 1999, was originally known for their etiquette classes for youth ages where they taught the youth various skills including simple presentation manners and communication skills. As the Academy grew over the years with great success, the organization expanded into a full after school and summer program. After partnering with YouthBuild Charter School, RSBA strives to focus on the troubling education issues within Moreno Valley and is committed to giving students the opportunity of a second chance. While most of their students are considered “at-risk”, they truly believe that a foundation of support is a must in order for each student to realize their true potential. With dedication to their students and the hard work the students have put in, RSBA YouthBuild has successfully graduated over 300 students through their program. “I’m here to help the young adults succeed financially. By investing in our communities, Wells Fargo will help our next generation grow stronger,” Wells Fargo Assistant Store Manager Anthony Hicks shared. "RSBA is a school we really believe in. They have a great program that really helps these kids."
