The City of Moreno Valley congratulates ALDI, a leader in the grocery retailing industry, on the successful completion of its regional headquarters and distribution center. This 825,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility and office complex is located at 12661 Aldi Place. "ALDI is a great addition to the Moreno Valley economy. The council is proud that the company has chosen to invest in our community by locating its regional headquarters and distribution center in Moreno Valley. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them and the creation of more quality jobs in our great city," said Mayor Jesse L. Molina. Recently named one of America's top three favorite grocery stores according to an independent survey of U.S consumers, ALDI operates more than 1,500 stores in 32 states and employs more than 20,000 people. The company currently is undergoing an extensive expansion into the Southern California market that will include the opening of 45 stores by the end of 2016. In addition to the regional headquarters and distribution center, this expansion will also include a retail store in Moreno Valley currently under construction at 12630 Day Street in the TownGate Promenade Shopping Center. "We are delighted to join the Moreno Valley community and thank the city and its residents for their incredible support," said Gordon Nesbit, vice president, Moreno Valley Division, ALDI U.S. "The expansion of ALDI to Southern California will provide more than 1,100 quality jobs, approximately 200 of which will be located at the Moreno Valley regional headquarters and distribution center. We look forward to bringing industry leading wages and benefits, and career growth opportunities to this community." Through the Hire MoVal program, city officials work with businesses to bring quality jobs to Moreno Valley and maximize employment opportunities for local residents. In recent months, ALDI has hosted local hiring events to recruit Shift Managers for upcoming store openings throughout the Inland Empire. In November, ALDI will host a three-day job fair at its regional headquarters and distribution center in Moreno Valley to fill nearly 100 Selector and Receiver positions. Prospective candidates are directed to visit the regional headquarters and distribution center during the recruitment events listed below to receive an application for employment and an appointment time to return for an initial interview. These events will take place on the following dates: Nov. 13 from 12 - 7 p.m. Nov. 14 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 15 from 8 -11 a.m. Salaries for these openings start at $19 and go up to $26 per hour for 32-40 hours per week and include full benefits, such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k). Those seeking employment with ALDI are encouraged to visit aldistorejobs.com. Completion of the ALDI facility follows several other project approvals, major hiring announcements and openings in Moreno Valley, including the World Logistics Center, Deckers Outdoors, Amazon, Serta Simmons Mattress, and Karma Automotive.
