The City of Moreno Valley has been awarded the 2022 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) from the National Procurement Institute (NPI). This award honors public and non-profit agencies that have demonstrated continued excellence, innovation, transparency, and best practices in public procurement.

This is the fifth consecutive AEP award for the City of Moreno Valley. The City is one of only 73 across the United States and Canada to receive this award.

“Awards like the AEP further demonstrate the unrivaled professionalism and dedication of our incredible Moreno Valley City Staff,” said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. “We are honored to receive this award—every department had a hand in achieving this distinction for the fifth consecutive year.”

In cities like Moreno Valley, procurement involves bidding, soliciting offers, and making formal and informal purchases for projects and initiatives that better the community. The AEP award is given to agencies that embrace innovation, professionalism, productivity, leadership, and online procurement.
