MORENO VALLEY>> The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League and affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League, has partnered up with the Hope Reigns Foundation and Wildcats Hockey, to bring about the formation of the Junior Reign youth hockey program. “We are extremely excited to partner with the Ontario Reign,” said Ben Frank, Junior Reign Hockey Club President. “We have a belief system that together, we can make youth hockey a life-changing experience. We believe we have the responsibility to harness the power of youth sports to build better people, stronger families and a closer world. Joining The Reign helps us expand that mission.” The Junior Reign offers organized programs at Riverside Icetown and Carlsbad Icetown for all ages and abilities and is recognized by USA Hockey as one of only 21 "Model Associations" nationwide, for its commitment to the highest standards for youth hockey player development as outlined by USA Hockey's American Development Model (ADM). In addition, the Junior Reign are a proud partner of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), whose motto is "better athletes, better people." “The Wildcats’ leadership and commitment to positive youth sport experiences and long-term athlete development is in perfect alignment with our mission of growing the game,” Kings President of Minor League Affiliates Darren Abbott added. “We are looking forward to working with their staff and seeing what the Junior Reign can accomplish in the years to come.” Age groups range from 8 and under to 18 and under, with competition levels that range from A/B to high-performance AA and AAA Tier hockey based on USA Hockey National Development Team programming. The Reign are battling the San Diego Gulls to win the Pacific Division Semifinals, and move onto the Finals. For more information and to contact a coach, visit JrReign.com.
