Moreno Valley was incorporated with the goal of providing its residents and businesses a superior quality of life in a safe and prosperous community. The city government was to exemplify good management through open and ethical operations, customer-friendly services, and responsible planning. With your support, I will fight to bring back the values that once inspired us to strive for greatness and not simply to settle for mediocrity. I have lived in Moreno Valley for 20 years, raising a family of whom I am very proud. I want to strengthen family values and community over urbanization and industrialization. I have worked in law enforcement for 12 years and public safety will be one of my top priorities, followed very closely by fiscal responsibility and diversified economic investment. Unfortunately, taxes are a necessary evil, but I will try to control them as well as government spending. I am a staunch advocate and protector of the environment and a strong supporter of the entrepreneurial spirit. I will strive to attract quality developers and employers who share these same values. I have a B.A. degree from Cal Poly, Pomona, with a major in philosophy and a minor in political science. I am a strong advocate of Constitutional Law and strict adherence to it; and I believe in our representative form of government of the people, by the people, and for the people. If elected, I will carry your voice to the city council. I pledge to call for a vote to cut the vehicle allowance and meeting stipends in half and to support term limits for all Council members. I sit on the Board of Directors for the Riverside Sheriffs’ Association, and I am a trustee of their Legal Defense Trust. I take my fiduciary duties very seriously, and I know how to put the needs of others before my own personal desires.
