The Moreno Valley Police Department, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, operated The National Prescription Drug Take Back Program on October 28th. This effort allows residents to drop off potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction. Collection of items during this event is anonymous.

During this “Take Back,” the Moreno Valley Police Department collected 15 boxes of prescription drugs. All too often prescription drugs make their way onto the streets and are illegally used by those without a proper prescription. This program is just one of the many ways the Moreno Valley Police Department works to keep the community safe.

The Moreno Valley Police Department will host the next “Take Back” event in April of 2018. Please visit www.moval.org/pd for more information as the date approaches.
