The City of Moreno Valley and the Moreno Valley Arts Commission are partnering to host “The Writers’ Launch Pad” on March 14 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The event will be held at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center located at 14075 Frederick Street and is free to the public. The goal of the workshop is to help writers promote their work to the marketplace and launch their careers. The speakers will include authors Graham Brown and Heather Lyons, who will share some of their personal experiences. Brown began as an unknown writer, and now has a multi-book contract. He is also the co-author of Clive Cussler’s NUMA series. Graham will talk about his journey from a writer who only dreamed of being published, to becoming a best-selling author. The second author, Heather Lyons, is best known for writing heartfelt love stories with a fantastical twist. She has published books in the Collectors Society Series and the Fate Series. From young adult to adult novels, one commonality in all her books is the touching and sometimes heart-wrenching romance. Pre-registration is recommended, but not required. Contact Eric von Mizener, Moreno Valley Arts Commission Member, at launchpad@ericvonmizener.com to register for this informative workshop. The deadline for registration is Thursday, March 12 at 5 p.m.
