During this National Bullying Prevention Month, schools across the district have been engaged in quite a variety of creative activities designed to remind students that bullying is serious and that they can help make it stop. Students at Sunnymead Elementary resorted to using a pun as one of their anti-bullying tools, reminding each other that they “must-ache” that they be nice. Get it? And it must be working. Since implementing PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) last year, Sunnymead has had ZERO student suspensions. The school recently had a PBIS BBQ to celebrate its positive-behavior success.
