Easter Classical Favorites

On Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 4:00 P.M., the Moreno Valley Master Chorale and Orchestra will present its spring concert: “Easter Classical Favorites.” The concert will be held at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 11650 Perris Blvd. in Moreno Valley. This performance will include many favorite works by Bach, Brahms, Elgar, Mendelssohn, Faure, Rutter, and others. The concert will also feature solos by world famous opera singer, Camelia Voin, who will be accompanied by members of the Chorale, as well as the Lyric Symphony Orchestra directed by Dr. Viorel Gheorghe. Renowned harpist, Mary Dropkin will be among the several professional musicians performing.

Bach’s beautiful “O Sacred Head Now Wounded,” will be the concert opener for the Chorale, followed by his well-known “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.” Other popular pieces will include Mendelssohn’s “He Watching Over Israel,” and Brahms “How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place.” After performing several other songs, the Chorale and Orchestra will conclude the concert with Mascagni’s majestic “Resurrection Chorus.”
