On May 8, the 5th annual Mother’s Day Garden Party took place at the Moreno Valley Senior Community Center honoring all mothers at the senior center. Although the festivities had to be relocated indoors due to the wind and cold weather outside, the festivities still went ahead without a hitch. The event coordinator, Jay Jones, has been working at the Senior Community Center for 8 years and did an excellent job catering to the attending moms. Jay Jones and his staff pampered the moms with turkey sandwiches, fresh fruit, and an assortment of beverages. Sponsoring the event was PrimeCare, the largest network of independently-contracted physicians in the Inland Empire and their Account Executive, Laura Moreno, who gave out information to the attendees to acquire affordable healthcare coverage. One of the attendees of the Garden Party was Julieta Rodriguez who arrived with her friends and club members of the Healthy and Easy Club in Moreno Valley. At 55 years old, Julieta Rodriguez won the Garden Party Raffle for being the youngest mother attendee and won a basket of Wet Seal products. Julieta Rodriguez shared, “the turkey sandwiches were delicious and the décor was sweet and sentimental at appreciating moms.” The 5th annual Moreno Valley Senior Community Center Garden Party was a tremendous success in the effort of honoring local mothers.
