Kids Say Cheese for Mother's Day Gifts

Recently, the Moreno Valley Mall (MVM) and Photos Onsight Studio hosted a free event for children. The kids got their portraits taken at the studio and the pictures were printed on a mouse-pad for the children to give to their moms for Mother’s Day. MVM’s Kids Club is a program for kids that the mall hosts on the first Wednesday of every month. Each event lasts about a half-an-hour, is free of charge and is hosted by a different retailer each month. Marketing Manager, Heather Bordner-Ayyob, said that the program was recently overhauled to highlight the retailers at the mall and encourage them to interact with community members. She went on to say that the event is very popular and will often have an attendance of over 60 kids. Attendee, Darby Gross, said that she attends the Kids Club every month. She said that her favorite part of the event were the pictures they got of the children, saying, “It is something you can keep forever. It’s nice to have something to remember the kids how they normally are.” Gross went on to say that the kids particularly enjoyed the Kids Club event in which the kids got the chance to pot a plant and take it home to plant in their yard. Photos Onsight Studio owners, Theron and Pam Laudermill, donated their time, talents and supplies, explaining that they were happy to host the event at their store because “it put a smile on the kids’ faces.” Theron commented, “It was the best feeling to see the kids laugh when they saw themselves on the mouse-pads.”
