The City of Moreno Valley’s Parks & Community Services Department is looking for interested vendors to offer food, fun, and community information at the Family FunFest. The Family FunFest is Saturday, July 4 at Morrison Park/Mountain View Middle School. Vendor applications are now available for food and beverages, arts and crafts, non-profit information, and a limited number of toy and novelty booths. Vendors will be selected by a lottery drawing on the following dates: Moreno Valley Residents – Tuesday, May 5 at 7:30 a.m. Non-Residents – Wednesday, May 6 at 7:30 a.m. The Independence Day festivities will kick off with a parade from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The parade theme is "Sights and Sounds of Liberty." The celebration will continue from 2 to 10 p.m. during the Family FunFest. The concert headliners this year on the Skechers stage are “Band of Brothers,” “Ghost in the Machine,” and “Wanted.” The festival concludes with a spectacular fireworks display at 9 p.m., which is simulcast on radio station KOLA 99.9 FM. Applications are available at www.moval.org and can also be picked up at the Moreno Valley Conference & Recreation Center, 14075 Frederick Street. For more information about all of the festivities planned for the 4th of July, including how to apply as a vendor, contact the Moreno Valley Parks & Community Services office at 951.413.3280.
