The MVUSD Elementary Arts program held their second Art Show of the year with student work from the 2nd trimester. Elementary schools, including Armada, Bear Valley, Chaparral Hills, Hidden Springs, Serrano, and TownGate participated. The Riverside Art Museum hosted the event and allowed students, parents and guests free admission to the entire museum.

Attendance was spectacular for the entire exhibit with students and parents enjoying an afternoon of viewing and making art. The third elementary art show of the year is scheduled for May 18th and will feature artwork from the 3rd trimester elementary schools. The exhibit will also be held at the Riverside Art Museum.

“Elementary Art Teacher April James has been an amazing leader for our elementary art program. This entire Art Show series has been her vision, and she has worked so hard to make it happen,” said Greg Solomon, Coordinator of Visual and Performing Arts for the Moreno Valley Unified School District.

Other elementary arts teachers Don Mooneyham and Ryan Taylor worked hard having their student work displayed for the exhibit as well. The team of three art teachers support all 23 elementary schools, in grades 4 and 5.
