The Vanguard Art Gallery launched its newest show featuring the artwork of four local artists. The Heaven & Earth show includes artwork by Reiko, Jeni Bate, Jen Janecek and Subodh Maheshwari. The passionate acrylic works of Reiko and the delicate watercolors of Janecek both exhibit a distinct influence of the Japanese masters. Bate’s skycapes are rendered in a wide range of watercolor, acrylic and oils. The influences of the East also abound in Maheshwari’s pieces that provide the viewer with a mix of symbolism and color. There was an artists’ reception held Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Gallery, which was free and open to the public. Several pieces of artwork were sold at the reception. The show runs through Nov. 24. The Gallery is located in the Moreno Valley Mall, 22500 Town Circle, Moreno Valley.
