Free Educational Seminar on Breast Cancer News at Michelle’s Place

Michelle’s Place is hosting a special educational seminar that brings together three breast health medical professionals from Breastlink on Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Dr. Tchaiko Parris, Dr. Amy Bremner and Dr. Ryan Wong will present the latest comprehensive information on breast cancer care including: • Breast Cancer Diagnosis - What you should know, questions to ask your doctor and what to expect. • Breast Surgery - Different types of surgeries, expectations and treatment plans. • Reconstruction - Different types of reconstruction, expectations and before and after pictures. Every month Michelle’s Place offers free educational seminars to the public to education about breast health and breast cancer to help women take control of their health and well-being, and to increase knowledge on early prevention and detection techniques. “We are pleased to have such dedicated breast health professionals speak at Michelle’s Place, and really offer our clients, and the public, a great opportunity to learn more about breast cancer in a safe and comfortable environment,” said Kim Goodnough, Executive Director of Michelle’s Place. Dr. Tchaiko Parris is the director of breast imaging at Breastlink and specializes in radiology and breast biopsy procedures. She is passionate about actively partaking in helping women reduce and potentially eliminate breast cancer. Dr. Amy Bremner specializes in oncoplastic breast surgery techniques and uses a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of breast cancer. She is very passionate about attaining excellent cosmetic results. Dr. Ryan Wong is a plastic surgeon offering breast reconstruction at Breastlink. He believes his role as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon is to provide services that enhance the lives of his patients.
