RIVERSIDE >> The Riverside Art Museum will be holding the 3rd Annual Riverside Art Market from 10 am to 4pm on May 7. The event will be held in the galleries and on the front lawn of the historic Riverside Art Museum at 3425 Mission Inn Avenue. Over 50 Inland artists and artisans will display and sell their work in fine art, watercolor, photography, jewelry, ceramics, metalwork, and glass. Admission is free, however, for a small fee, children can enjoy making kaleidoscopes, decorating tile trivets or canvas tote bags just in time for Mother’s Day. Face painting and balloon twisting will also be available and a food truck will be on hand for hungry shoppers. In addition to shopping, several artists will be demonstrating their craft. Ellen Finan will be demonstrating her fabric art, and Ginger Pena and Jo Thompson will do live painting. Derek Burrill, who turns drums into custom works of art will also be on hand. More information and a partial list of vendors can be found at riversideartalliance.org. All proceeds will benefit the children’s programs at the Riverside Art Museum such as school outreach programs and art classes for deserving or at-risk children. Major sponsors for this event are: Burgess Moving and Storage, Michelle Ouellette, and Tim and Meredith Maloney. Public parking for event available in Garages 1 & 2 on Orange Street between Mission Inn Ave. and Ninth Street. Metered parking is free on weekends.
