MVUSD cares about community health and wellness and that is why events such as Bear Valley Elementary School's 2nd Annual Family Sports Night on Thursday evening are so important.

About 150 students and family members attended this fun night of games featuring hockey, softball, potato sack races, and tug-of-war. Kid-friendly pop music filled the air, along with plenty of laughter.

"Bear Valley's PTO puts on this wonderful event to encourage healthy lifestyles and quality family time in our community. We've had two years with a great turnout. It really is a success," said Bear Valley principal Sam Stager.

Families could also purchase a healthy Subway meal if they worked up enough of an appetite!
