MORENO VALLEY >> Moreno Valley resident John Hlava has just completed writing his 11th book. It is titled The Ultimate Injustice. He calls it “a very relevant book which addresses one of today’s most important issues.” The retired school teacher has been writing for about ten years. During his 16 years in the Moreno Valley Unified School District, he was often reporting to City News Group about events occurring within that district. One of those published articles was about having his students in his 4th grade class at Butterfield Elementary writing their 9 chapter autobiographies. Referring to that article, Hlava said he is most proud of helping his young students become authors with their illustrated personal stories. “It’s one of those treasures of their youth that they can keep forever.” While most of his writing is spiritual, Hlava occasionally enjoys interjecting humor into his collection of non-fiction books. He said, “Only four of my books have been published and are available to the public through Amazon and Barnes & Noble, but I’m working on getting more of them ready for publication.” Hlava thinks that his most recently published book, The Ultimate Injustice, is a short easy to read book that people will get a lot out of.” Hlava said, “I never planned on writing 11 books, and never even thought I could. It just happened, because I always had opinions which I wanted to express. Its amazing what just happens with a little thought and effort.”
