At just 17 years old, Miranda Nicole Soria is making her mark both in the classroom and on the course. A Senior at Grand Terrace High School, Miranda maintains an impressive 3.6 GPA while balancing academics, athletics, and the hobbies she enjoys outside of school.

Miranda’s athletic journey began in 2016 when she started competing with the Grand Terrace Community Soccer League. Through the years, she has continued to develop her skills and passion for sports. In 2024, she expanded her athletic pursuits by joining the GTHS Track & Field and Cross Country programs. As a soccer player, Miranda plays both defense and midfield, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to her team.

Among her proudest athletic accomplishments is earning fourth place in a race against 61 other competitors, a milestone that reflects her determination and hard work. Her dedication extends beyond athletics, as she is also proud of passing her AP exams during the previous school year.

Miranda and her fellow Lady Titans recently competed in a league meet where Grand Terrace High School finished fourth, securing the placement the team needed to advance to CIF. This achievement highlights the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and the collective effort required to reach their goals.

Away from athletics and academics, Miranda enjoys baking and spending quality time with family and friends. When asked who inspires her the most, she immediately named her mother, explaining, “My mom because she always pushes me to do things that she knows will be good for me.” Her response reflects the important role her family plays in encouraging her to grow and pursue her goals.

Looking toward the future, Miranda plans to attend the University of California Riverside, where she hopes to study Psychology. With her academic focus and determination, she is preparing to take the next step toward building a future beyond high school.

Miranda also shared one of her favorite quotes from the movie La La Land: “Here’s to the fools who dream.” The quote reflects the spirit of pursuing dreams and believing in the possibilities that lie ahead.

When asked what she would like to share with readers, Miranda expressed her appreciation for the people closest to her, saying, “I’m really grateful for my friends so I appreciate them a lot.”

Miranda’s journey is a reminder that success is about more than athletic accomplishments or grades. It is also about the people who inspire us, the friendships we build, and the determination to keep moving forward. As she prepares for graduation and the next chapter of her life, this Lady Titan has plenty of reasons to be proud of how far she has come.

As a special celebration of Miranda’s accomplishments, she was presented with an Athlete of the Week patch for her letterman’s jacket. Sponsored by TME Photography and Harley’s, the patch represents more than a moment of recognition. It is a lasting keepsake honoring the dedication, preparation, and passion she has demonstrated throughout her athletic journey. May it always remind her of this chapter in her life, the goals she has pursued, and the people who have supported her along the way.

Congratulations, Miranda, on being recognized as Athlete of the Week! Continue chasing your dreams, embracing new opportunities, and making the most of every experience. Your next chapter is waiting, and the possibilities are yours to explore.
