The City of Moreno Valley has 11 boards and commissions covering important quality of life topics. Currently, nine boards/commissions have openings for which Moreno Valley residents (or business customers of Moreno Valley Utility for the Utilities Commission) are encouraged to apply. As of July 16, 2025, the current vacancies include the following:

 

Emerging Leaders Council:

Environmental and Historical Preservation Commission:
