Hispanic Heritage Month

It’s Hispanic Heritage Month, and I’m thrilled to celebrate our Hispanic community's rich culture, vibrant traditions, and incredible contributions right here in Moreno Valley. From the sounds of mariachi music filling the air, to the aroma of homemade tamales in the air, this is a time to honor the diversity that makes our City so special.

Hispanic Heritage Month is more than just a celebration; it’s a reminder of the powerful stories and the deep roots that our Hispanic neighbors, friends, and family bring to our shared community.

Throughout this month, various events will highlight Hispanic culture's art, history, and traditions. And don’t miss out on the lighting of our iconic Moreno Valley ‘M’, lit up in orange, red, purple, blue, and green in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Awareness. I encourage everyone to participate—whether it’s attending a local festival, trying a new dish from one of our amazing Hispanic-owned restaurants, or learning about the history of influential Hispanic figures who’ve shaped our world.

This celebration is also a great opportunity to reflect on the values that unite us all—family, hard work, and a deep sense of community. It’s these values that have helped build Moreno Valley into the vibrant City it is today
