Innovation & Growth Create Opportunities

The City of Moreno Valley’s reputation for innovation and growth just went global, receiving five Economic Development Awards of Excellence from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The leading voice for over 4,500 economic development professionals worldwide.

 

“For the second year in a row, the City has won FIVE awards from IEDC. That’s quite an accomplishment, considering the thousands of noteworthy entries submitted to IEDC worldwide each year,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “That’s not just success, that’s commitment. Moreno Valley is proving that when you invest in people, partnerships, and bold ideas, the results speak for themselves.”

 

The winning programs and categories include:

  1. Gold Award – Talent Development & Retention: MoVal Apprenticeship Hub
  2. Gold Award – Postsecondary Education Partnership: MoVaLEARNS
  3. Gold Award – Magazine & Newsletter: Economic Development Newsletter
  4. Gold Award – Multimedia Promotion: Business Spotlight
  5. Bronze Award – Special Event: Inland Empire Apprenticeship Expo

 

These programs are key pillars of Moreno Valley’s mission to create opportunities, build strong business relationships, and champion economic growth. By blending education with workforce training and strategic promotion, the city is raising the bar for what a thriving community can achieve.

 

Momentum MoVal’s focus on Economic Development is fueling recognition across the nation and now the world. With five additional IEDC awards, Moreno Valley has made it clear that this is a city with unstoppable drive. These awards complement the collection of notable national, state, and regional awards that the City has received in recent years.
