Land Rover Riverside will participate in Land Rover TReK 2021, Land Rover North America’s annual off-road adventure competition, to be held September 16-26 at the Land Rover Experience at the historic Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C.

This multi-day event will be comprised of qualifying trials and finals for Land Rover retailer staff designed to educate and test personnel with a variety of four-wheel drive adventure tasks. The competition combines skill challenges in off-road driving, navigation and team collaboration to put some of the top off-road experts from across the U.S. to the test.

“We’re honored to represent Land Rover Riverside in this grueling off-road adventure competition,” said General Manager Karla Curtsinger. “Our three-person team showcases a collection of our greatest talent, and is a true representation of our entire staff. We wish all the teams the best of luck.”

Land Rover Riverside will be represented by General Sales Manager Joe Garofalo, Service Manager Bryan Hildebrand and Service Technician Jairo Mafla, who will be competing against up to 80 retailer teams in a variety of exciting challenges while driving a specially outfitted Land Rover Defender 110 SUV. The winning team from each competition wave will return to Asheville in October for the TReK Finals, where the overall winner will be crowned.

Modeled after the legendary Camel Trophy, the original Land Rover TReK competition was founded in 1996. It resumed in 2019 after a 16-year hiaitus, with the finals held in Palm Springs in January 2020.
