In October of 2017 law enforcement agencies from throughout San Bernardino and Riverside County came together to create an ongoing communication and partnership with the School Resource Officers and Public Safety Officers in the two largest counties in the nation.

The San Bernardino and Riverside County School Resource Officers Association was soon formed which meets every two months. This collaboration allows agencies to share information, train together and keep communication lines on current trends throughout the Inland Empire. Since its inception, the association now has an elaborate alert messaging system amongst each other that trains together on a regular basis.

San Bernardino School Police Department, in partnership with the San Bernardino and Riverside County School Resource Officers Association, will be hosting a dynamic one day symposium of breakout training sessions on April 5 2018. These sessions are free and include a complimentary lunch provided by Supervisor Josie Gonzales and training topics that would be beneficial to school officials at the Superintendents Level and Risk Management on how law enforcement can prepare at high schools.
