Seven lucky winners were awarded more than $40,000 in prizes on Wednesday when LifeStream Blood Bank held the drawing for its 2nd annual Dream Raffle, presented by Blanke Schein Wealth Management.
Julie Proctor of Santa Barbara was the winner of the grand prize — a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport or $20,000. Her ticket was selected from the 3,713 sold during the 4-month campaign. “We are really happy we reached our fundraising threshold that allowed us to give the grand prize winner their choice of the Bronco or $20,000,” said Rick Axelrod, MD, LifeStream’s president, CEO and medical director. “The incredible response to this year’s raffle helped us raise the final $75,000 we needed to cover the costs of two new bloodmobiles. We are grateful to everyone who purchased tickets and to our generous sponsors for making this fundraiser a huge success.”
In addition to awarding the grand prize, other major prize winners include Jesse Ladao of Victorville ($7,000 5-carat diamond bracelet), Fran Morris of Moreno Valley (flight in a P-51 Mustang WWII plane), Gary Dikeos of Palm Springs (3-night New Mexico winter getaway), Gregg Saretsky of Indian Hills (2-night stay and dinner at the Westin Mission Hills Resort), Alan Bleemers of Laverne (65” Samsung HDTV and 4 channel soundbar system) and Renee Elliott of Cherry Valley, (deluxe gas grill with a $250 Stater Bros gift card).
The popular Bronco Sport was made available by Palm Springs Motors. The diamond bracelet was donated by El Paseo Jewelers. Other prizes were donated or sponsored by Palm Springs Air Museum, Contour Dermatology, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Westin Mission Hills Resort and Southwest Gas. Promotional support was provided by KESQ News Channel 3 and KOLA 99.9.
