Look to the BERC When You Need to Find Work

Finding the right career path isn’t always a straight line. Whether residents are entering the workforce for the first time, changing directions, or transitioning back to civilian life after military service, uncertainty about the next step is common. To support residents through these moments, the City created the Business & Employment Resource Center (BERC) to help individuals move forward with confidence.

The BERC serves as a one-stop resource designed to support professional goals. From résumé assistance and job searches, to skill-building and career assessments, the center helps turn questions into action. With free internet access, helpful software, and knowledgeable staff, residents are not expected to navigate their career journeys alone.

An upcoming Regional Job Fair on February 27 will bring together local employers who are actively hiring. The event, held at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center, will offer attendees the opportunity to connect face-to-face with employers, learn about different industries, and explore new opportunities. Additional job fairs and workshops are planned throughout the year, with a full schedule available on the BERC website at moval.org/berc.

The City also prioritizes support for veterans transitioning to the civilian workforce by offering tailored workshops and resources to help ensure a successful transition. For local businesses, programs such as Hire a Veteran make it easier to grow teams while supporting those who have served the country.

The BERC is more than a resource—it is a community hub focused on helping residents and businesses succeed together. Residents are encouraged to explore the website, visit the BERC, attend a job fair, or participate in one of the many workshops. Whatever the next step may be, support is available to help make it possible.
